Trail
Riding! The Real West, not the “Reel West”
Try your hand (and other parts of the anatomy) at horseback riding! Mount a
mighty steed and your wrangler-guide will lead you through brush and sage!! You
may have time to visit Bandera, the “Cowboy Capitol of the World.” Have a cold
one in Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar Saloon where you can experience a low-down
(it's in the basement) saw-dusted western bar!
Fishin'
Our fishing guide tells us where the hybrid strippers and fresh water Redfish
are biting! Last year Strippers averaged 3 to 7 pounds and Redfish came in
between 11 and 24 pounds! A unique lake with the best fishin' in these parts!!
Skeet or Sporting Clays
Enjoy the sport of shooting at one of
the finest and most complete shotgun shooting facility in the world! Beginners
receive expert guidance in the art of shooting while experienced guests receive
tips to enhance their skills.
Rafting or “Toobing”
Crystal clear waters run rapidly under oak trees creating a scene right out
of Huckleberry Finn! People of all ages, rest atop inner tubes or in rubber
rafts, laughing and enjoying themselves on a sunny day as they float down the
crystal clear
Guadalupe River.
Bike the Mission Trail
Take an easy, leisurely bike ride to tour
several missions. Refreshments, guides, transportation to and from the site,
helmets and water bottles are included.
This excursion travels to Mission Espada and Mission San Juan de Capistrano,
ending at Mission San Jose, the Queen of the Missions. Established along the San
Antonio River in the 18th century, San Antonio claims the oldest missions in the
United States! These three missions are 1 mile to 1.5 miles apart and are on
fairly level terrain. Marvelous!!
